Introduced in 2020, the Aladino Cameroon line is one of the more distinctive offerings in the JRE Tobacco Company portfolio. Cameroon tobacco is widely known for their sweet, spicy, and aromatic profile. But they’re also notoriously thin and a bit difficult to work with. Julio Eiroa decided to do something about that. He sought out to reinvent the Cameroon wrapper. Instead of sourcing traditional African-grown Cameroon, he planted authentic Cameroon seeds in Honduras’s Jamastran Valley, where he could oversee every stage in the production process.
The goal wasn’t to imitate the African-sourced Cameroon. It was to grow a wrapper that preserved its signature flavor while delivering better structure, a cleaner burn, and throwing in Aladino’s signature mouthwatering Corojo. The result is a Cameroon-seed wrapper that still gives you the expected aromatic spice, sweetness, and earthiness. Only now, it’s held together better and has fewer issues with construction.
Under the wrapper sits 100% Honduran Corojo in every Aladino Cameroon cigar. All grown and handpicked from Eiroa’s farm. The same leaf is used for the binder and filler. It all comes together to create a medium-bodied core of earth, cedar, and spice that doesn’t knock you over.
Each vitola highlights the blend in a different way. The Elegante 7x38 brings the wrapper forward. Your palate will welcome a combination of cedar, pepper, and sweet spice. The Robusto 5x50 offers a classic balance of toasted nuts, cream, and a pepper finish. The Super Toro 6x52 stretches the experience with shifts from cedar and spice to roasted peanut, cream, almond, and clove.
Every cigar is handmade at JRE Tobacco Company using tobacco grown entirely on-site. The medium-bodied profile makes it perfect for afternoon smoke or nighttime contemplations while offering enough depth for any event in your life. Each cigar promises a different experience, but all share the same JRE farm-to-cigar touch. Whether you’re already a fan or curious to try one for the first time, this Aladino Cameroon deserves a spot in your rotation. Order yours at Cigars.com.
