Clearly, nobody blends premium Honduran tobaccos better than Christian Eiroa, and this is very evident on his latest offering— the Asylum 13 Corojo cigar. While the original 13, was a Nicaraguan puro, this time around the cigar is a Honduran puro. In fact, the Corojo seed used in this exceptional blend was grown on Christian Eiroa’s family tobacco farm. The construction is top-notch, and the wrapper is a medium brown in color, very oily, and exhibits very small veins. Now, on to the flavor, because that’s where these homegrown beauties really shine! I chose the 50 X 5 front-mark for this review, and found it to be medium to full bodied in strength, and loaded with revolving flavors of sweet tobacco, baking spice, mocha, leather, and hints of lemon zest. If I had to describe Asylum 13 Corojo cigars in a word, it would be—scrumptious!
