I consider the Hoyo de Monterrey cigar brand the original authentic premium handmade Honduran that paved the way for all others. Proving that you don’t necessarily need to combine exotic tobacco leaf to create a top-notch cigar, Hoyo has relied on a classic blend of fully aged long fillers from Honduras, Nicaragua, and the DR to derive its exquisite flavor. I love how the brand has a whole slew of sizes and shapes to choose from, and comes in both EMS and maduro wrappers. Flawless construction, affordable pricing, and always featuring a consistent medium-to-full-boded flavor, the Hoyo de Monterrey has been in my daily rotation for over three decades.
