The 2015 New Orleans trade show was hailed as the year of the Connecticut. Drew Estate released its first Connecticut with its Undercrown Shade, while the legendary Padrón was also initiated into the Connecticut world with its Dámaso. Even Altadis USA revitalized its famed Montecristo White with a special vintage release. However, the folks at My Father entered the Year of the Connecticut and made it totally their own. This special release of the delicious El Centurion has a highly unique blend of tobaccos. Rolled at the My Father Factory in Estelí, it contains vintage Criollo and Corojo leaf grown in Nicaragua, and a wrapper specially engineered for this specific cigar: a sun-grown Habana 2000 from the Connecticut Valley. It is rich and hearty along with hints of pepper and sweet spice, and an absolutely extraordinary must-have.
