CPIAT
Pilón is a term referring to the stacks of tobacco leaves arranged in large piles for fermentation. This was the 19th century method used to create the original CAO Pilon cigars. CAO Pilón Anejo Toro the company’s second release, uses a blend of Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos that are met with 2-years of aging to maximize the flavors even further. The cigars are finished with a rich, reddish hue Ecuador Habano wrapper that adds a layer of rich tobacco sweetness to a flavor profile of dark chocolate, earth, leather, and cocoa. CAO bills this stick as medium-to-full bodied, but I found that the deeply aged tobaccos provide a smooth and creamy experience that can be enjoyed with my first cup of morning joe’ and throughout the rest of the day. If you are looking for a premium cigar that’s nothing short of scrumptious, then buy a box of CAO Pilón Anejo Toro’s wherever you can find them.
