Now that they have been rediscovered by Caldwell, they have been rebranded and repackaged to feature luxurious artwork depicting feathers on the paper packaging. While the recipe of extensively aged long fillers is undisclosed, what is known is that the binder is a vintage Dominican Criollo ’98 leaf which is shielded by a top-shelf Dominican Habano wrapper. Upon sparking, I get a smooth blend of cedar and sweet cream, but as the smoke progresses notes of oak, spice, pepper, and bittersweet dark chocolate emerge and add to the complexity.
