New World Dorado by AJ Fernandez Gordito cigars are the latest entry to AJ Fernandez’s popular New World Series. Unlike almost every other cigar on the market, these short and stout 5.5x60 smokes are made almost entirely with tobaccos from a single farm, the Dorado farm in Esteli, Nicaragua. Along with some fillers from nearby farms, the blend consists of fillers, a binder, and a top-quality Habano Sun Grown wrapper all sourced from the Dorado farm and hand crafted at AJ’s San Lotano factory. Each puff provides my palate with a hearty medium-bodied medley of pepper, wood, earth, coffee, and dried fruit notes, and before I even realize it, I am at the nub.
