Powstanie SBC22 Corona Gorda LE cigars are the fourth installment in the brands Limited Edition SBC Series. All four releases have used a barber pole style wrapper, that is very hard to roll and provides abundant amounts of complexity, as the flavor profile changes a bit when the flame hits each colored wrapper. the blend for both the dual wrappers along with the binder and fillers are not being disclosed by either Powstanie co-owners Mike & Gregg Szczepankiewicz or Skip Martin, owner of the Nico Sueño factory in Nicaragua who produces the Powstanie branded cigars. The blend may be a secret, but its no secret that this medium-to-full bodied 5.50 × 46 Corona Gorda was a long lasting smoke that issued delicious flavors of chocolate, black coffee, leather, cedar, and coffee, that took turns as the predominant top note when the flame reached each wrapper shade. With only a total of 500- 20 count boxes made, I was fortunate enough to grab a box the moment they were released. If this luxurious, limited edition masterpiece from Powstanie is on your must try list, I highly recommend you don’t sleep on it because the SBC series historically sells out very quickly.
