Punch cigars have been a staple in my humidor for many years, but when the company turned to AJ Fernandez to create a hot new premium blend called Punch Diablo cigars, it was worth getting excited about! As soon as this new AJ creation became available on the web, I ordered a 5-pack of my favorite size—the 5.25 × 54 Punch Diablo Diabolus. The cigar is rolled at AJ’s factory in Nicaragua using Honduran and Nicaraguan Ligero fillers covered by a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and a deep brown Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. Thick clouds of fragrant smoke and bold, uber full-bodied flavors of licorice, wood, espresso, leather, and hints of dark fruit, provided one of tastiest Punch cigars that I have ever smoked.
