Saint Luis Rey Reserva Especial

I always buy 5-packs when I’m looking to discover a cigar that I haven’t smoked before. It’s a great way to sample a few smokes before investing in a box. Such was the case with Saint Luis Rey Reserva Especial Toro… a highly regarded premium cigar that somehow remained under my radar. Handcrafted in Santa Rosa de Copán, Honduras, the much-heralded Saint Luis Rey Reserva line is expertly crafted from a blend of Honduran, Nicaraguan, and Peruvian tobaccos wrapped in a seamless Nicaraguan wrapper. This was a bold, yet well balanced smoke with a rich earthy profile of pepper, nuts, wood, black coffee, and cedar that provided a very enjoyable full bodied smoking experience. Since writing this review, these top-notch cigars have become a staple in my humidor.
