Most premium cigars on the market today feature tobaccos from all around the world, but New World Dorado by AJ Fernandez cigars are made almost entirely of tobaccos from just a single farm. The most recent addition to AJ Fernandez’s incredibly popular New World series, New World Dorado is built around tobaccos harvested from AJ’s Dorado farm in Esteli, Nicaragua. Along with some fillers from two other Esteli farms, much of the fillers, the hearty Nicaraguan binder, and the top-quality Habano Sun Grown wrapper were all grown on a single plot of land and sourced from the farm’s very first harvest. The tobaccos are then flawlessly put together into four sizes at the famous San Lotano factory in Nicaragua.
Once I get one of the cigars going, my palate greets a flavorful and rich medium-bodied tapestry of pepper, earth, coffee, dried fruit, and wood notes that keep me engaged from the first puff to the last. With its deliciously good flavors and the uniqueness of being composed of tobaccos from mostly one farm, these gems are a great addition to the collection in my humidor. New World Dorado proved to be so good that it easily cracked into the Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 of 2022 list with the Robusto earning an incredible 93-rating, and also earned top-rated raving reviews from a number of popular publications. To have my box of 10 New World Dorado by AJ Fernandez cigars shipped quickly right to my door, I ordered them online from Cigars.com.
